An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
